The Champion Network is a mentorship program which links high schoolers with elementary students. The high school mentors, called Champions, are trained and given experiences in leadership and relationship building while the younger students, called Young Orabs, are given role models who make a positive impact in their lives. Champions & Young Orabs meet weekly to have fun, to build their relationship, and to learn ways to be Outstanding Orabs. Throughout the first semester, 11 Seniors were matched with 11 East Students. We hope to add more Champions & Young Orabs to the program for the second semester! #LeadOn #orabs #sheldonorabs #champions #mentor

Our biology students had an incredible experience on Friday as they went on a fascinating tour of TransOva in Sioux Center! During the tour, our students delved into TransOva's toolkit, discovering the incredible processes behind their mission. From embryo transfer and in vitro fertilization to sorted semen, genetic preservation, cloning, and genetic engineering, they witnessed cutting-edge techniques in action! An added unique and festive touch: students learned about embryo parts and created embryo Christmas ornaments, decorating a tree with their scientific creations! What an eye-opening experience, giving our students a glimpse into the world of advanced reproductive technologies and their role in feeding our growing world! #LeadOn #orabs #sheldonorabs #transovea #genetictesting #biology #learning
