THE COOLIDGE - A SCHOLARSHIP FOR AMERICA /APPLICATION DEADLINE: JANUARY 18, 2024

The Coolidge Scholarship is open to current high school juniors, planning to enroll as a fulltime college student, in the fall of 2024. The criteria to apply for this scholarship include:

  • Academic Excellence

  • An Interest in Public Policy

  • Possess a sense of service and care for the well-being of others

HORATIO ALGER ASSOCIATION SCHOLAR AWARD /Application period is open from DECEMBER 1 - MARCH 15, 2024

If integrity, determination, and courage describe you - you have what it takes to be a Horatio Alger Scholar. To be considered for this scholarship:

  • You must be a junior in high school

  • Exhibit a strong commitment to pursue and complete a bachelor's degree at an accredited non-profit public or private institution in the United States

  • Demonstrate critical financial need ($55,000 or lower adjusted gross family income)

  • Be involved in co-curricular and community service activities

  • Display integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity

  • Hold a minimum gpa of 2.0

  • Be a United States Citizen

Herbert Hoover Uncommon Student Award / Deadline: March 15, 2024

The Herbert Hoover Uncommon Student Award is a $10,000 scholarship program for Iowa high school juniors. The program annually identifies and honors up to 15 Iowa high school juniors who propose and then accomplish a project of their own choosing and design.

To be eligible for this award, applicants must be a U.S. citizen, a junior in an Iowa High School or in a home schooled program in the spring of 2023, with a high school graduation date of 2024.    

You will need to have a project proposal, which includes your goal and how you will get there.
