"Yes, a degree is within your reach! Help is available so you can get to college, afford it and succeed."
College Knowledge is a workbook to accompany "Your Course to College," providing information to jumpstart college planning and preparation. It addresses questions and concerns about how to select the right college, how to afford college and how to make a successful transition from high school to college. At the end of each chapter, you will find a "Next Steps" section to show you what actions you can take to move closer to your goals.
The Herbert Hoover Uncommon Student Award is a $10,000 scholarship program for Iowa high school juniors. The program annually identifies and honors up to 15 Iowa high school juniors who propose and then accomplish a project of their own choosing and design. Each of the 15 finalists will receive a $1,500 cash award at the completion of the program. Three of the finalists could earn an additional $10,000 scholarship each, for a total of $11,500.
To be eligible for this award, applicants must be a U.S. citizen, a junior in an Iowa High School or in a home schooled program in the spring of 2021, with a high school graduation date of 2022.
You will need to have a project proposal, which includes your goal and how you will get there.
