Little Orabs Preschool students wrapped up a Construction Study, exploring how buildings and structures are created using tools, materials, and teamwork!

East Elementary Spring Concerts are coming up next week! Our students have been working hard practicing their songs, learning new skills, and preparing an exciting performance. We can’t wait for you to see and hear all of their efforts come to life on stage! Go Orabs!

Sheldon Middle School students had a great time learning the fundamentals of pickleball in P.E., building their skills through practice, teamwork, and friendly competition! Way to go Orabs!

Today we celebrate our amazing school librarians who inspire a love of reading, support student learning, and help our schools run smoothly every day. Thank you for all you do to make a difference in the lives of our students and staff! We appreciate you!

Sheldon High School art students recently attended the Northwestern College Creative Pathways Art Career Day. They spent time connecting with artists and creative professionals, learning about careers in the arts, and even creating a few small pieces of their own! Way to go Orabs!

Sheldon East Elementary students recently participated in the Playmaker’s Camp at MOC-Floyd Valley, gaining valuable skills and experience while having a great time!

Give a big round of applause to our Sheldon High School Individual All-State Speech performers!

They traveled to UNI’s campus this week where Theresa Nilles presented her Expository Address, “A Musical Journey,” Rachel Besaw performed her Prose piece, “Going Grapefruit,” and Eli Thiner shared his Storytelling performance, “I, Cthulhu.” It was a fantastic day! Way to go Orabs!

Sheldon Middle School 5th graders put their creativity to the test with their Trash-to-Treasure projects, turning everyday materials into something completely new. Their imagination, effort, and innovation truly stood out!

Sheldon Community School District will have no school on Friday, April 3 and Monday, April 6. We hope everyone enjoys the long weekend and has a wonderful time off!

ISASP testing is underway at Sheldon Middle School. The Iowa Statewide Assessment of Student Progress (ISASP) is the annual spring accountability test for Iowa students.
Getting a good night’s sleep, eating a healthy breakfast, and arriving at school on time can help students feel focused, confident, and ready to do their best. We encourage all students to stay positive, try their hardest, and show what they have learned. You’ve got this - go Orabs!

Sheldon Community School District Transition Planning Night is tomorrow. This event is open to all schools, communities, and anyone who is interested in attending!

Middle school and high school families are encouraged to attend to explore available resources, ask questions, and begin planning for a successful transition to adulthood. This event is designed to connect students with disabilities — of all functioning levels — and their families with community agencies and service providers that support life after high school.

Families will have the opportunity to learn about options for:
• Employment • Postsecondary education
• Vocational training • Independent living • Adult services
