Middle School Practice will start Monday, August 22.

Today was a great day at Sheldon Community School District. Our staff was able to welcome students and families to the building for our open house. We will see everyone back on the first day of school on Tuesday, August 23!

Staff at all three district buildings were able to enjoy a "Sweet" start to their day thanks to Perspective Insurance in Sheldon.

Back to School Open House is today from 12-6 PM. We hope to see you there.

Help us thank our food staff for preparing breakfast this morning as we welcomed back the entire district staff. District employees are back in our buildings today preparing for the start of the 2022-2023 school year. Welcome Back Staff!

Thank you to The Sheldon Pizza Ranch for sponsoring the lunch for the staff today during our first day back as an entire district staff. We appreciated it!

A beautiful night to have the Back to School Bash at the City Park. District staff and their families were able to gather for a potluck meal tonight to celebrate the start of the new school year.

We would like to invite parents and students to the Back to School Open House on Thursday, August 18 from 12-6 PM. This is a great opportunity for the students to bring in their school supplies, meet their teachers and see the classrooms.

Next Thursday and Friday our Volleyball and Football teams will be hosting the Sports Drink Scrimmage! Come and watch each of these teams. Take note that the Football team will have an open practice 9/10 on Thursday and then travel to West Sioux on Friday. Admission: Sports Drink

20 of our staff members attended the PLC Conference this week to learn more about implementing the PLC process (Professional Learning Community). The PLC process allows for our teachers to improve their practice to impact student's achievement, all through working in collaboration with each other. Our staff is excited to take what they learned back to their PLC teams and implement these practices when the students come back.

Teachers and Administration have been busy working on the final adjustments to the schedules, classroom set ups and curriculum for the school year. We are excited to have our students back in the buildings starting August 23rd. #LeadonOrabs
