A beautiful night to have the Back to School Bash at the City Park. District staff and their families were able to gather for a potluck meal tonight to celebrate the start of the new school year.

We would like to invite parents and students to the Back to School Open House on Thursday, August 18 from 12-6 PM. This is a great opportunity for the students to bring in their school supplies, meet their teachers and see the classrooms.

This week at Sheldon Community Schools

Next Thursday and Friday our Volleyball and Football teams will be hosting the Sports Drink Scrimmage! Come and watch each of these teams. Take note that the Football team will have an open practice 9/10 on Thursday and then travel to West Sioux on Friday. Admission: Sports Drink

20 of our staff members attended the PLC Conference this week to learn more about implementing the PLC process (Professional Learning Community). The PLC process allows for our teachers to improve their practice to impact student's achievement, all through working in collaboration with each other. Our staff is excited to take what they learned back to their PLC teams and implement these practices when the students come back.

Teachers and Administration have been busy working on the final adjustments to the schedules, classroom set ups and curriculum for the school year. We are excited to have our students back in the buildings starting August 23rd. #LeadonOrabs

Freshman Orientation is happening this week at the High School. Upcoming dates include: Wednesday and Thursday at 2:00 pm Thank you to our upper classman for giving the tours this week.

Today is the last day to get your students registered for the 2022-2023 school year. Please make sure you register any NEW or RETURNING students. School registration instructions can be found on our website or by clicking here: https://www.sheldonschools.com/page/registration

If you need assistance with school registration, the High School will be open until 7 pm to help with devices and translators. Reminder all NEW and RETURNING students need to be registered for the 22-23 school year.
