5th grade students in Ms. Nordahl's Science Class are learning about the four spheres of the Earth.
Students have learned about the biosphere, geosphere and today the students dived into learning more about the hydrosphere.
As an introduction to learning more about the hydrosphere, students worked in groups and traveled around the room to different learning stations.
At each station they had to scan a QR code to bring up a video that would give more information about the hydrosphere. Students were responsible for recording information they learned about the hydrosphere as they traveled to each station.
This was a great way to put the learning in the students hands and see what pieces of information they thought were important as they learned more about the hydrosphere today.

8th grade students have been learning about the Revolutionary War in History Class.
As a cumulation assignment for the unit, students were given some of the historical events, important individuals involved and battles that happened during that time and were asked to create a timeline and organize the events, along with the people associated with those events.
This was a great way for students to organize all of the information from the unit and review for their test coming up.

Kindergarteners have learned so much in the first quarter of the school year.
Students are now working on taking the sounds they have been learning and writing CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) words and reading them aloud.
Before long, these students will be reading!

You can find students spread around the room reading and talking about their books during partner reading time. This is one of the 3rd graders favorite parts of reading rotations.
Partner reading is a great way for students to work on their fluency, as well as their social skills, as they talk with their partner about what they are reading in their book.
