This week at Sheldon Community Schools
Today was a great day at Sheldon Community School District. Our staff was able to welcome students and families to the building for our open house. We will see everyone back on the first day of school on Tuesday, August 23!
Staff at all three district buildings were able to enjoy a "Sweet" start to their day thanks to Perspective Insurance in Sheldon.
Back to School Open House is today from 12-6 PM. We hope to see you there.
Thank you to The Sheldon Pizza Ranch for sponsoring the lunch for the staff today during our first day back as an entire district staff.

A beautiful night to have the Back to School Bash at the City Park. District staff and their families were able to gather for a potluck meal tonight to celebrate the start of the new school year.
We would like to invite parents and students to the Back to School Open House on Thursday, August 18 from 12-6 PM.
This is a great opportunity for the students to bring in their school supplies, meet their teachers and see the classrooms.

This week at Sheldon Community Schools
20 of our staff members attended the PLC Conference this week to learn more about implementing the PLC process (Professional Learning Community).
The PLC process allows for our teachers to improve their practice to impact student's achievement, all through working in collaboration with each other.
Our staff is excited to take what they learned back to their PLC teams and implement these practices when the students come back.
Our Special Education Teachers and Para Educators are participating in a training today to prepare for the 2022-2023 school year.

Today is the last day to get your students registered for the 2022-2023 school year. Please make sure you register any NEW or RETURNING students.
