East Elementary 3rd graders each researched a state and used their information to make a project. We got the whole grade together so students could share about their states with other classes.




This week's free summer lunch menu


East Elementary 3rd graders participated in a reading escape room! They were given a reading passage with questions. If they answered the questions correctly, the got a code to unlock the next one. Once they got 4 correct codes, they "escaped"!







We are proud to share that Sheldon Community School District received the 2025 Best Communities for Music Education Award from The NAMM Foundation! Let’s celebrate the district’s dedication to music education for all students!


Sheldon Free Summer Lunch program is going on now!
Monday-Friday, from 11:30am-12:45pm, at East Elementary.
This program is FREE for children 18 and under. Parents are welcome to join.
Bus pick up is available! **Must be waiting at the stop approximately 5 minutes before the assigned time**

What a fun celebration to end a great year of the Champion Network! Our elementary students & their high school mentors wrapped up the school year with an unforgettable afternoon of bowling. It was heartwarming to see their relationships blossom & to hear laughter echoing throughout the alley!








East Elementary second graders had an amazing day on their Lake Pahoja field trip! They explored eight hands-on stations, including dipnetting, a GPS scavenger hunt, interacting with live animals, and learning all about bees. It was a fun-filled day of adventure, discovery, and outdoor learning!








East Elementary 4th graders enjoyed a trip to Oak Grove Park in Hawarden, IA. They were able to hike and backpack in the wilderness, learn about wildlife and their adaptations, and engage in outdoor games.


Sheldon Community School District's last day of school will be Friday, May 23.

East Elementary kindergarten students were rewarded with a fun afternoon of bowling for their great FAST scores this spring.
