Preschoolers had a great time doing Easter activities this week!



Second graders had a fun “peep day” this week! They conducted an experiment with peeps in water, soda, and vinegar. They created their own peeps and gave them names and birthdays. They watched how peeps are made and read a story with some fun facts about them. Last, they had to think critically as they solved peep problems!

National School Librarian Day is observed on April 4th each year, a day to recognize the important contributions of school librarians who help students succeed academically and foster a love of reading.

Congratulations to the March students of the month at East Elementary!


East Elementary second graders recently completed a March Book Madness unit. They read books, did activities with the books, and voted for their favorite. The Leaf Thief by Alice Hemming was voted the favorite book from the bracket. To end the unit, the students played some basketball activities with some of the high school basketball players!
