To learn the new words and definitions, the students made notecards, practiced independently, and then challenged friends to a matching game. 6th graders wore a fraction, decimal, or percent around the Middle School for the last few days. As teachers or other students came up to them, they were asked what their equivalent decimal, percent, or fractions were. This was a great way to help our students memorize some commonly used fractions, decimals and percentages. #LeadOn #Orabs #math #sheldonorabs #sheldon #middleschool

8th graders at the Sheldon Middle School complete a History Day Project each year. Students research a topic in History and create a project to share their information. The 8th graders then present their projects to the public on History Day Night and are judged on their project information, display, and presentation skills. Before their presentation night, the students were able to practice sharing their projects with some of the younger students in the Middle School. This was a great way for the students to practice presenting their project, as well as show the younger students an exciting project that they get to do when they get to 8th grade. #LeadOn #Orabs #sheldon #historyday #learning #presentationskills #leaders #history
