Congratulations to our 2026 Pop-A-Shot Shoot-Off Champions, Thomas Bunkers and Aylah Sauer! These two rose to the top and earned their titles with impressive shooting skills and consistency. What a fun and competitive season it has been!

Sheldon Middle School 7th & 8th Graders Explore Careers
Chris Carson of Scissortail Energy Partners in Tulsa, OK joined us via Zoom to share insights into careers in the oil drilling industry and geology-related fields. His work is very different from what we see locally, making it exciting to learn how his projects operate. Chris is also related to our own Ryan Cannoy—thanks for making the connection!

🎶 SINGING VALENTINES 🎶

Sheldon High Schol Show & Jazz Choirs are hosting a "Singing Valentine" fundraiser to support the band and choir! One song costs $5, and $10 gets you a song with a rose.

All orders are due in the office by Tuesday, February 10, and can be for any student or staff member across all four buildings. Happy Valentine's Day!

The Sheldon Community School District Athletic Booster Club Meetiong will take place tonight at the high school.

Supporting Reading—One Taco at a Time!
Earlier this month, Taco John’s was excited to support Kristin Noack, an 8th-grade teacher at Sheldon Middle School, by providing coupons for her classroom.

She’s inspiring students to read through fun bingo boards and rewarding their efforts with Taco John’s coupons—what a great way to motivate learners! We love seeing teachers go the extra mile for their students. Go Orabs!

Sheldon Middle School Spirit Week dress-up days are next week—come join the fun and show your school spirit!

Sheldon Middle School students did an amazing job creating hand sculptures in art class as part of a Leader in Me project this past semester. Students enjoyed constructing their sculptures and observing everyone’s creative and impressive work!

Sheldon Community School District will have no school Friday, January 23 due to extreme cold temperatures.

Congratulations to the Sheldon Middle School students selected to participate in the Strong Foundations Honor Band! 🎶

On January 19, several talented 6th-grade musicians took part in the Strong Foundations Honor Band at Heelan High School in Sioux City. This program provides young instrumental musicians with an excellent ensemble experience in a positive, supportive environment while working with outstanding music educators. Students rehearsed throughout the day and concluded with an evening concert at 6:00 p.m.

Sheldon Community School District will be starting 2 hours late on Friday, January 23 due to inclement weather. There will be no morning preschool, practices, or activities.

Perspective Insurance is hosting a RED-out game!
Please join us in "remembering everyone deployed" by wearing red at the basketball games on Friday, January 23.

Staff and students are encourage to wear red throughout the day as well to honor our troops overseas. Thank you for your support!
