High school students will begin their school day 10 minutes earlier for the entire 2025-26 school year.

Breakfast is one of the most important meals of the day, especially for students. If your student doesn't have time to each breakfast at home, they can eat breakfast at school. Eating breakfast can benefit them in many ways throughout the school day. They are able to concentrate better, are more alert, and can have better test scores!

Sheldon Middle School students took their first trip with World Classrooms. 7th and 8th graders, along with parents, and 3 teachers (Mr. Carlson, Mrs. Diekevers, and Mrs. Hoelker), traveled to Washington DC, from July 13-17. World Classrooms was great to work with, and we are hoping this trip is the first of many more to come!
Day 1: arrival, Smithsonian National Museum of American History, Washington Monument, WWII Memorial, Reflection Pool, 9/11 Memorial at the Pentagon
Day 2: US Capitol Tour, Jefferson Monument, MLK Monument, Holocaust Memorial Museum, National Archives, White House, shopping
Day 3: Gettysburg Battlefield Tour, Vietnam War Memorial, Korean War Memorial, WWI Memorial, Lincoln Monument, fun night in downtown Alexandria
Day 4: Marine Corps/Iwo Jima Memorial, Arlington National Cemetery & Changing of the Guards, Smithsonian National Museum of Air & Space, departure
Day 5: not planned! Flights were delayed so it took us a long while to figure out a way to get 40+ passengers home
