Concession stands will be open offering drinks, popcorn and candy. No outside snacks are allowed other than water. Feel free to sit on the turf or in the stands, or bring your own blankets or lawn chairs.

TA competitions at the Sheldon Middle School take place on Fridays. Each Friday, students participate in competitions that encourage teamwork, friendship, and fun among the students.

On Fridays, 8th graders have TA where they do fun activities. One of the activities was a puzzle challenge! They were given 20 minutes to finish a puzzle and whoever finished the puzzle first won!
Sheldon Community School District's Free Summer Lunch program starts on Monday, June 2.
This program is free for children 18 and under and parents are welcome to join. It runs Monday-Friday from 11:30am-12:45pm. Bus pick up is available.

Sheldon Middle School's Annual Night of the Noteables. A beautiful night, a great turn out, incredible costumes, and so many awesome speeches! Congrats 6th grade!
Sheldon Middle School and High School students had another successful year at the State Science and Technology Fair of Iowa (SSTFI) on March 27 and 28, at Hilton Coliseum on the Iowa State University Campus, in Ames, IA. All students had a chance to present their projects to the judges and members of the general public.

Thursday evening Special Awards Ceremony
•Douglas Nilles - 2nd place in the FFA’s Division 5 Plant Sciences.
Friday evening Grand Awards Ceremony
•Brooke Jonas and Taylor Stellinga - 3rd in the Junior High Plant Sciences Division
•Brooke and Taylor - 3rd place honors in the 8th grade Biological Science Seminar Competition, a special competition that required them to submit their research for prior consideration to qualify
•Andie DeGroot and Makaiah Vermeer - honorable mention recognition in the Animal Sciences Division
•Andie and Makaiah, plus Brooke and Taylor also qualified to have their project entered in the Thermo Fisher Scientific Junior Innovators Challenge, a nationwide competition for Junior High level research projects.

Sheldon Middle School 6th grade students helped create three life-sized Periodic of Table of Elements. Each student researched an element from the table. They reported on its atomic number, symbol, what it is used for, melting point, who discovered it and how it earned its name.
Nineteen students also memorized all 118 element symbols. They celebrated with a "Cyclone Party." A special thanks to Dairy Dandy for helping us out with this reward!
National School Librarian Day is observed on April 4th each year, a day to recognize the important contributions of school librarians who help students succeed academically and foster a love of reading.
