Sheldon Middle School 7th graders studied how the line between what’s real and what’s fake can become blurred in today’s world. As part of the unit, they read an article about the real lives of influencers.
On October 16, Heather Crawley visited to share her experience as an influencer. She explained how she creates videos, topics she covers, and brought merchandise she has successfully promoted. Heather also described how she partners with companies and emphasized that she only features products she genuinely likes. She hopes to be known as a reality-based, honest influencer. Her presentation was informative and tied in perfectly with the article students read.

Students celebrated Mrs. Kooiker’s final day of student teaching in Ms. Noack’s classroom. Over the past eight weeks, she has become a valued part of the class, spending much of her time teaching a 7th grade LA section and building strong connections with students.

To mark her last day, the class read a picture book about a garden of flowers, then surprised her with handmade flowers and heartfelt notes they created themselves. Mrs. Kooiker will be greatly missed, and we wish her all the best in her next chapter!
